A Savage War of Peace: Algeria 1954-1962

by Alistair Horne (Author)

A book review by "Doginfollow": The cover of the 2006 paperback reissue of Alistair Horne's astounding "A Savage War of Peace" boasts that the book is "on the readings lists of President Bush and the U.S. military." All I can say is, too bad it wasn't on their reading lists in 2003.
In his new preface, Horne bluntly acknowledges that the book has found unexpected relevance in today's Iraq. No matter where you stand on that conflict, you will learn something from Horne's harrowing chronicle of the Algerian struggle for independence from France in the 1950s and early 60s. In fact, if (like most of us) your view of the war in Iraq is filtered through some sort of partisan lens, Horne's book provides an opportunity to step back and take a clearer look at how others walked many hard miles in a similar set of shoes. Horne's book has it all. He sets the stage with the fragile illusions of the French and the frustrated aspirations of the Algerians. He charts the war's savage downward spiral into ever bloodier spasms of terrorism, reprisal, torture and militancy, with all the missed opportunities for compromise along the way. He seamlessly weaves military history with the diplomatic and political intrigues of the era. A distinguished British military historian of France, Horne is almost astonishingly objective and fair-minded about the conflict, even while chronicling the most ghastly atrocities on both sides.
He seems to have interviewed almost all the major players (at least the ones who survived) and earned their trust. Horne does not flinch from condemning brutality and betrayal, stupidity and cowardice; at the same time, he does not try to answer whether the French had any right to be in Algeria or whether the Algerians' struggle for independence justified terrorism. Like Charles de Gaulle, who emerges as the central figure of this drama, Horne simply recognizes that the French were swimming against a strong tide of history (decolonization). They could not be defeated militarily, but were doomed to lose the political struggle in the long run unless they could find a face-saving compromise.
Unfortunately, they came to this realization too late to salvage much from the debacle. Meanwhile--and this is where the book hits its dramatic heights--the unravelling of French will to remain in Algeria came close to tearing France apart, sparking a succession of revolts, coups, assassination plots, and terrorism from within the French military and European settlers in Algeria. Several times, the wrenching conflict threatened to engulf France itself in civil war. Horne shows that de Gaulle's great achievement was not winning the Algerian War, or even reaching much of a compromise peace, but of simply being willing to lose it and move on. It doesn't sound like much. But in the hands of a lesser statesman, France might have sputtered on for years in Algeria, unable to win and unwilling to lose, while draining its resources and destroying its own political system.
Instead, de Gaulle allowed France to extricate itself and build a proud, modern, stable and prosperous country in place of the one shaken by a series of military defeats. Horne's writing is gripping and he never loses the thread of a great story. The level of detail here may be daunting to some, and many readers will be flipping to the list of acronyms in the back to keep all the players straight. Aside from a few obvious updates, most of the book was written in the mid-1970s, and its perspective is slightly dated as a result. (For example, it is striking how few times Horne mentions the role of religion in the Algerian struggle, an omission that no future writer on the Iraq conflict will make.) Still, I would recommend this book without reservation to anyone interested in French history or the Middle East, past or present. Even the president.

ISRAEL AND 9/11 : Nouvel indice concernant le 11 Septembre 2001

Online Journal,

Récemment est arrivé un courriel au sujet d'un article que j'ai écrit, What were the Mossad with fraudulent New Zealand Passports doing in Iraq?

Revealed: The Internet's Biggest Security Hole

Two security researchers have demonstrated a new technique to stealthily intercept internet traffic on a scale previously presumed to be unavailable to anyone outside of intelligence agencies like the National Security Agency.

The tactic exploits the internet routing protocol BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) to let an attacker surreptitiously monitor unencrypted internet traffic anywhere in the world, and even modify it before it reaches its destination.

The demonstration is only the latest attack to highlight fundamental security weaknesses in some of the internet's core protocols. Those protocols were largely developed in the 1970s with the assumption that every node on the then-nascent network would be trustworthy. The world was reminded of the quaintness of that assumption in July, when researcher Dan Kaminsky disclosed a serious vulnerability in the DNS system. Experts say the new demonstration targets a potentially larger weakness.

"It's a huge issue. It's at least as big an issue as the DNS issue, if not bigger," said Peiter "Mudge" Zatko, noted computer security expert and former member of the L0pht hacking group, who testified to Congress in 1998 that he could bring down the internet in 30 minutes using a similar BGP attack, and disclosed privately to government agents how BGP could also be exploited to eavesdrop. "I went around screaming my head about this about ten or twelve years ago.... We described this to intelligence agencies and to the National Security Council, in detail."

The man-in-the-middle attack exploits BGP to fool routers into re-directing data to an eavesdropper's network.

Anyone with a BGP router (ISPs, large corporations or anyone with space at a carrier hotel) could intercept data headed to a target IP address or group of addresses. The attack intercepts only traffic headed to target addresses, not from them, and it can't always vacuum in traffic within a network -- say, from one AT&T customer to another.

The method conceivably could be used for corporate espionage, nation-state spying or even by intelligence agencies looking to mine internet data without needing the cooperation of ISPs.

BGP eavesdropping has long been a theoretical weakness, but no one is known to have publicly demonstrated it until Anton "Tony" Kapela, data center and network director at 5Nines Data, and Alex Pilosov, CEO of Pilosoft, showed their technique at the recent DefCon hacker conference. The pair successfully intercepted traffic bound for the conference network and redirected it to a system they controlled in New York before routing it back to DefCon in Las Vegas.

The technique, devised by Pilosov, doesn't exploit a bug or flaw in BGP. It simply exploits the natural way BGP works.

"We're not doing anything out of the ordinary," Kapela told Wired.com. "There's no vulnerabilities, no protocol errors, there are no software problems. The problem arises (from) the level of interconnectivity that's needed to maintain this mess, to keep it all working."

The issue exists because BGP's architecture is based on trust. To make it easy, say, for e-mail from Sprint customers in California to reach Telefonica customers in Spain, networks for these companies and others communicate through BGP routers to indicate when they're the quickest, most efficient route for the data to reach its destination. But BGP assumes that when a router says it's the best path, it's telling the truth. That gullibility makes it easy for eavesdroppers to fool routers into sending them traffic.

Here's how it works. When a user types a website name into his browser or clicks "send" to launch an e-mail, a Domain Name System server produces an IP address for the destination. A router belonging to the user's ISP then consults a BGP table for the best route. That table is built from announcements, or "advertisements," issued by ISPs and other networks -- also known as Autonomous Systems, or ASes -- declaring the range of IP addresses, or IP prefixes, to which they'll deliver traffic.

The routing table searches for the destination IP address among those prefixes. If two ASes deliver to the address, the one with the more specific prefix "wins" the traffic. For example, one AS may advertise that it delivers to a group of 90,000 IP addresses, while another delivers to a subset of 24,000 of those addresses. If the destination IP address falls within both announcements, BGP will send data to the narrower, more specific one.

To intercept data, an eavesdropper would advertise a range of IP addresses he wished to target that was narrower than the chunk advertised by other networks. The advertisement would take just minutes to propagate worldwide, before data headed to those addresses would begin arriving to his network.

The attack is called an IP hijack and, on its face, isn't new.

But in the past, known IP hijacks have created outages, which, because they were so obvious, were quickly noticed and fixed. That's what occurred earlier this year when Pakistan Telecom inadvertently hijacked YouTube traffic from around the world. The traffic hit a dead-end in Pakistan, so it was apparent to everyone trying to visit YouTube that something was amiss.

Pilosov's innovation is to forward the intercepted data silently to the actual destination, so that no outage occurs.

Ordinarily, this shouldn't work -- the data would boomerang back to the eavesdropper. But Pilosov and Kapela use a method called AS path prepending that causes a select number of BGP routers to reject their deceptive advertisement. They then use these ASes to forward the stolen data to its rightful recipients.

"Everyone ... has assumed until now that you have to break something for a hijack to be useful," Kapela said. "But what we showed here is that you don't have to break anything. And if nothing breaks, who notices?"

Stephen Kent, chief scientist for information security at BBN Technologies, who has been working on solutions to fix the issue, said he demonstrated a similar BGP interception privately for the Departments of Defense and Homeland Security a few years ago.

Kapela said network engineers might notice an interception if they knew how to read BGP routing tables, but it would take expertise to interpret the data.

A handful of academic groups collect BGP routing information from cooperating ASes to monitor BGP updates that change traffic's path. But without context, it can be difficult to distinguish a legitimate change from a malicious hijacking. There are reasons traffic that ordinarily travels one path could suddenly switch to another -- say, if companies with separate ASes merged, or if a natural disaster put one network out of commission and another AS adopted its traffic. On good days, routing paths can remain fairly static. But "when the internet has a bad hair day," Kent said, "the rate of (BGP path) updates goes up by a factor of 200 to 400."

Kapela said eavesdropping could be thwarted if ISPs aggressively filtered to allow only authorized peers to draw traffic from their routers, and only for specific IP prefixes. But filtering is labor intensive, and if just one ISP declines to participate, it "breaks it for the rest of us," he said.

"Providers can prevent our attack absolutely 100 percent," Kapela said. "They simply don't because it takes work, and to do sufficient filtering to prevent these kinds of attacks on a global scale is cost prohibitive."

Filtering also requires ISPs to disclose the address space for all their customers, which is not information they want to hand competitors.

Filtering isn't the only solution, though. Kent and others are devising processes to authenticate ownership of IP blocks, and validate the advertisements that ASes send to routers so they don't just send traffic to whoever requests it.

Under the scheme, the five regional internet address registries would issue signed certificates to ISPs attesting to their address space and AS numbers. The ASes would then sign an authorization to initiate routes for their address space, which would be stored with the certificates in a repository accessible to all ISPs. If an AS advertised a new route for an IP prefix, it would be easy to verify if it had the right to do so.

The solution would authenticate only the first hop in a route to prevent unintentional hijacks, like Pakistan Telecom's, but wouldn't stop an eavesdropper from hijacking the second or third hop.

For this, Kent and BBN colleagues developed Secure BGP (SBGP), which would require BGP routers to digitally sign with a private key any prefix advertisement they propagated. An ISP would give peer routers certificates authorizing them to route its traffic; each peer on a route would sign a route advertisement and forward it to the next authorized hop.

"That means that nobody could put themselves into the chain, into the path, unless they had been authorized to do so by the preceding AS router in the path," Kent said.

The drawback to this solution is that current routers lack the memory and processing power to generate and validate signatures. And router vendors have resisted upgrading them because their clients, ISPs, haven't demanded it, due to the cost and man hours involved in swapping out routers.

Douglas Maughan, cybersecurity research program manager for the DHS's Science and Technology Directorate, has helped fund research at BBN and elsewhere to resolve the BGP issue. But he's had little luck convincing ISPs and router vendors to take steps to secure BGP.

"We haven't seen the attacks, and so a lot of times people don't start working on things and trying to fix them until they get attacked," Maughan said. "(But) the YouTube (case) is the perfect example of an attack where somebody could have done much worse than what they did."

ISPs, he said, have been holding their breath, "hoping that people don’t discover (this) and exploit it."

"The only thing that can force them (to fix BGP) is if their customers ... start to demand security solutions," Maughan said.

Israel and 9/11

A new 9/11 clue
By Jerry Mazza
Online Journal Associate Editor
Aug 27, 2008, 00:21

Recently, an email drifted in about an article I wrote, What were the Mossad with fraudulent New Zealand Passports doing in Iraq?

The writer said, “I’ve known about this for some time -- that the Mossad was involved in murdering our troops in a variety of methods to keep them there so we could ‘finish’ the job by destroying Syria and Iran. For years now I’ve suspected and now know for sure the Mossad had a lot to do with the 9/11 attack on the WTC. The attached mp3 is a recording of NYPD radio transmissions on 9/11. Listen from the 3-minute mark almost to the end. This was never reported in the media.”

The recording is titled, “The WTC-10-5-the-message-about-the-remote-controlled-plane.” In the mélange of scratchy voices bumping each other off and on, around minute three, the words “remote controlled-plane” bump through clearly, are interrupted, and finally assert quite clearly again that “there’s a big truck on King Street with the mural of an airplane painted on it diving into New York City and exploding.” It was later noted “King Street between 6th and 7th Avenues,” about a mile north of WTC, which was in direct line of sight from King St. and 6th Avenue.

What’s more as the NYPD stopped for a look at the truck, two men were seen fleeing from it and were apprehended by the police. To the writer’s knowledge and mine, no one ever reported this bizarre event. When I wrote back, questioning if he knew anything more about the two men, or how did the police know it was a “remote-controlled” airplane painted on the big truck,” he wrote back . . .

“Unfortunately, I don’t know any more details about the King St. incident, but the radio transmissions don’t lie. When you consider the story of the five dancing Israelis and the truck loaded with explosives caught near the GW bridge, it becomes obvious that this incident was also covered up. By the way, these were police, not firemen who caught these two suspects, in my estimation.

‘Earlier in the transmissions you could hear them speak of ATF agents, sergeant and inspector so and so, and the fact that they requested the Bomb Squad and ESU (Emergency Services Unit) to the scene. It appears that two officers became suspicious of a truck because it was painted with “a plane diving into New York City and exploding.” It must have been apparent to the officers that this plane was of a remote-controlled type which may also be a clue into how this false flag operation was pulled off.

“These captured Israeli Mossad agents [referring to the Five Dancing Israelis which I wrote about it in Happy 2001] had training in electronic intercept, military intelligence and explosive ordinance units.”

The four explosive Fox Reports

The writer also submitted this link, which contains a four-part series of reports done uncharacteristically by the right-wing Rupert Murdoch’s Fox News on Israel spying on America before and after September 11, 2001. The reports appeared mid-August 2006, just about two years ago. The videos at some point vanished from the Internet with “This story no longer exists.” So I suggest you watch them now, about five minutes each, each a mind-blower . . .
The reports include the famous or infamous Israeli-owned Amdocs Ltd., reported by Fox to be spying for Israel through the telecommunication products it sells and systems and services it operates and offers. Its products are widely used by the US telecommunications industry and government agencies like the NSA and DEA, to mention a few. Amdocs, in fact, stores every phone message or request for information made. Comverse Infosys (also an Israeli company) is one of the companies partnered officially with Amdocs Ltd. in June 2002 that offer CALEA spying services to US ISPs and wireless providers through the use of Verint’s products.
Comverse is alleged to have built a “back door” into the equipment permanently installed into the phone system, which permits instant eavesdropping by law enforcement on any phone in America. This was reported in whatreallyhappened.com’s article, “Is Israel Blackmailing America?

The article warns of the danger of permitting Israeli companies such sensitive access to the communications, law enforcement and political infrastructure, which in fact goes back many years. Amdocs was implicated in leaking police phone data in a major Los Angeles bust in 1997, involving Israeli mob drug-dealing of cocaine and ecstasy along with credit card fraud. Comverse “back-door” info-leaks to Israeli criminals resulted in the collapse of the case.

Bottom line, Israel, posing as a friend, has been spying on our most sensitive data, and using it against us when it suits its needs. This is above and beyond operatives like Jonathan Pollard or even the “small networks” like the 140 Israelis arrested by the FBI before 9/11, or the 60 arrested since, including our Jersey pals, the Five Dancing Israelis, subsequently freed by the FBI to return to Israel. These fellows were cheering the falling Towers, flickering cigarette lighters, and video-taping themselves for the folks back home.

Israel has been listening to every phone in America for years and has the technology to monitor and record who any individual is calling, anywhere in America. It subcontracts billing and directory services for phone companies around the world, with 90 percent of American phone companies as clients. But Amdocs is 100 percent Israeli owned. Read the full linked story and listen to the linked Fox videos, and wonder if this tiny nation doesn’t fill the bill to a T as a major conspirator in the 9/11 tragedy, with the Arabs coming off as mere patsies. The kicker is that even the NSA and FBI have complained about Israel’s spying power on them for years with no noticeable result.

Despite all revelations, including the Fox reports, what has come of it all, and the nearly $5 billion in military aid we keep giving Israel? If we seriously consider who profited from 9/11, Israel walks away with the unloving cup hands down. And it still goes to this day, including their arming and militarily advising the Georgians (along with the USA) in their idiotic but brutal attack on South Ossetia. No dirty job is too low for them, so long as they are profiting, feeling more protected, and having gotten a leg up on the US, which seems to be too dumb to know what’s going or how to do its own dirty work or infrastructure building.

If this isn’t the self-fulfilling prophecy for another boot in the Zionist rear, I don’t know what is, short of total nuclear conflagration on the rest of the world if Israel is threatened. Thus, Israel’s modus operandi amounts not just to blackmail but terrorism as well. Are you listening Mr. Chertoff, Czar of Homeland Security? Ah, but then you’re a dual Israeli/American citizen, too. What a coincidence.

Pipeline Plans And Diaper Dreaming

By Karl Schwarz
8-25-8

The first map below is what George Bush, Zionist Israel, George Soros and the other Zionist West partners in crime are hyperventilating about. The Zionist West had visions of pipelines, pipelines and more pipelines transporting oil, oil and more oil, and trillions of cubic meters of natural gas. Unfortunately, there is a barrel-full of problems that they aren't sharing with the world. More on that below. Their 'geostrategic imperative problems' go far outside recently-humbled Georgia.

The Zionist West plotters and schemers are trying to blame everything on Russia...but the simple fact of the matter is the Caspian Basin riches are slipping through their hands like sands in an hourglass.

In an energy starving world, nations do not have 7 years to wait...the approximate time it will take to build a single pipeline out of the Caspian. In this instance, BushCo has failed to get a pipeline through Georgia and continues to fail to even start one in America-ravaged Afghanistan. Even if he did, the Taliban would have a grand time blowing holes in it until hell freezes over.

Pipe dreams and smoke.

During this same period of time, Russia and the Bridas Corporation have built many thousands of miles of pipelines, focusing on business and delivery...rather than lies, war and genocide.

About the only oil and gas deal the US-UK has participated in, in the entire region, is one in Azerbaijan which has both oil and natural gas is flowing...but the output in it is miniscule compared to the gas and oil in the Caspian Basin, Iran and Russia.

Now the morons of DC have infuriated and enraged so many people in the area, they will be lucky to get 10% of what they just blew 30 years salivating over. They are all quite insane, you see. The Zionist West just can't figure out there are other ways to partner- up with people rather than killing them.

Since Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan are selling most of their natural gas to Russia, China and India, suddenly the talking heads are trying to paint the picture that Russia threatens the 'democracies' in the entire CIS region. That, of course, is a bald-faced lie and a gross misstatement of reality. The largely Islamic CIS region has sided with Russia due to US and UK policies waging war on Islam. DC does not want people to notice that the Islamic CIS regions in Central Asia are fed up and offended with BushCo and its lies and war on Moslems. The slaughter or over a million in Iraq and another million or two in Afghanistan...not to mention the physical annihilation of those two countries...just doesn't play well in the Moslem world.

Russia is not threatening them at all. On the contrary, Russia is *helping* them get their oil and gas to world markets while the DC Diaper Dude continues to foul the geopolitical landscape with his droppings.

This is one of the 'geostrategic imperatives' of Zbig's grand plan that is going nowhere, fast. The pipeline which cuts across Turkey exists now as the BTC Pipeline ...but it ran into problems recently. The impudent Kurdish rebels blew it up in Turkey...Russia had nothing to do with that. That was a result of policies Turkey and the US have long maintained that the Kurds do not like.

That second pipeline across Turkey will probably never be built unless they can find enough oil or natural gas to pump through it.
From the known deposits, the existing one pipeline is probably all that will ever be needed.

This map will show you the overall dynamics of the situation the bird-brained BushCo Zionist planners have put themselves in. No strategic vision, no workable strategic plan.

Due to the fiddle-fart planning by morons who cannot read a map, these pipeline dreamers and schemers no longer have Batumi Ajaria nor do they have Sokhumi Abkhazia. They only had POTI...but have managed to piss-off Russia so much that Russia has now taken total control of the Georgian port town. Since these areas voted over 15 years ago to be part of Russia rather than Georgia, it raises the question of what these idiot planners were thinking in the first place.

They had visions of so much oil and natural gas that three separate terminals were needed. As of now, they have a hard time justifying even one terminal and one pipeline.

The BushCo Zionist blunders in Georgia have also put the Soros- Ukraine-EU pipeline in serious doubt. It is called White Stream 1 and White Stream 2.

http://www.jamestown.org/edm/article.php?article_id=2372497

You might want to take a look at this PDF to better see the dynamics that are playing out. Russia is winning hands down with pens and contracts.

http://www.energy-community.org/pls/portal/docs/91811.PDF

If there is no oil or natural gas to put through the pipeline, building the pipeline is pointless. The BushCo Zionists have painted themselves into a strategic corner and when Azerbaijan runs out of oil and natural gas, the Brzezinski Grand Chessboard Plan turns into just another Bush Dirty Diaper legacy. Note on the one PDF page the large arrow pointing north to Russia. That is the direction much of Iran and CIS area oil and gas is heading, and now East, to China and India, too.

Simply put, Russia's use of business and intelligence versus US lies, deceit, war and death is obviously the only way to get these deals done.

Russia is not blocking the flow of oil out of Poti. Yet. They are, however, blocking the US and its partners in crime from shipping more military weapons in to re-arm Georgia. If the US and Israel think they will do so some other air...via airlift, for example, there will probably be 2 or 3 Russian armored divisions in Georgia within 24-48 hours and this 'debate' with the US-Zionist West deceit will be over. Permanently. If the US and Zionist West persist with this stupidity, Russia will decapitate Georgia and bury the BushCo pipeline dream for good.

Russia announced on August 23, 2008 that if the US or its partners in crime re-arm Georgia, Russia. End of story. Dmitry Medvedev has given all plenty of warning on August 19: "Cross us and we will crush you." That was a warning to The Mick Saakashvili as to how thin the ice is for Georgia.

What has them all particularly freaked out about (and popping Prozac and guzzling Mylanta) in the Zionist West, is that right along that river from Azerbaijan to Gori is THE valley where they want all of these pipelines to run. Unfortunately, Russia is now now much too close with the New Improved South Ossetia Defense Plan that includes a Russian Buffer Zone to keep the Georgians and their mercenary buddies away from the Russian citizens of South Ossetia.

Get it?

The BushCo Zionist Israelis dreamed up this attack to back Russia up...but it blew up in their faces and the Bear is sitting on their faces. That is why they are squealing and threatening Russia so much. This 'Bear Hug' is proving to be very painful for Georgia and its Zionist West backers. The high and mighty just got their asses handed to them on a platter by Putin, Medvedev and Ivanov.

The Oil Mongers led by der Diaper Meister, George W Bush, want Russia back on the other side of the Caucasus Mountains (separating line between Russia and Georgia, and the separating line between Europe and Central Asia). The last thing they wanted was a dug-in Russian military less than 50km of their 'geostrategic imperative' pipelines. Their stupid stunt in South Ossetia has backfired and now Russia controls not only South Ossetia but also Abkhazia and the essential port city of Poti, too, as well as the additional Buffer Zone. One more screw-up by Georgia and its handlers, and Georgia will be chopped liver. I wish the pipeline map above was in better focus but it is not. Poti is in the center along the Black Sea and where all of those pipelines are headed except for the BTC pipeline that runs from BakuAzerbaijan to the Mediterranean through Turkey.

Their southern Georgia Port plan backfired in their faces, too, when the people of Ajazia (the terminal closest to Turkey) also voted that they have no desire to be part of Georgia. Seems Georgian-style 'Democracy' led by US puppet Mikhiel the necktie eater Saakashvili does not have as many friends in that region as Washington, DC wants Americans and the world to believe. Frankly, I am not aware of any former Russia area that has three breakaway "Christian" regions that have no desire to be part of this wonderful new Zionist West 'democracy' seated in Tbilisi, Georgia.

Probably has to do with Georgia being 60% Muslim and run by Muslims and overseen by Zionist Jews.

Think on that one.

With Ajazia, Abkhazia and South Ossetia desiring to remain aligned with Russia, the DC SECURITY PLANNERS decided Russia was too close to their precious 'geostrategic imperative' pipelines. Remember, this was not a single pipeline, it was planned to be multiple pipelines. Also keep note that with the passing of each day, there will be less and less oil and gas to put through those pipelines because people on the other side of the Caspian Sea are signing up with other nations like Russia, China and India to help them deliver their goods.

They probably referred to Zbig's 'Chessboard' to see what he had to say on the matter. Yeah, right there in the pages. attack Russia and push them back any time the opportunity presents itself. We gotta grab that Caspian Basin and have pipeline routes out for the oil and natural gas. It is 'geostrategic imperative!' The outcome has proven to be much worse than the ancient analogy of chicken and egg, or horse and cart. These idiots forget to get a chicken so they could get an egg; they forget to get a horse so they could figure out which end to hitch the wagon to.

Unfortunately, 'geostrategic imperative' doesn't mean shit out in the real world and will not get you a cup of coffee anywhere except in the Zionist West centers that spout off that phrase. The past 7 years have proven what a total lunatic plan this was from its inception.

Getting the picture?

All of this 'super pipeline planning' from DC and UK is all just an exercise in mental masturbation if they end up having no oil and gas to put through the pipelines.

The problem with their Chessboard scheme surfaced long ago when Abkhazia voted to not be part of Georgia and Sokhumi Abkhazia had to be removed from The board and put on the DC Enemies Shit List.

That cost them their Northern Port in Georgia. That was in about 1992, so it was not exactly right before Georgia and the US and Israel decided to attack South Ossetia in August 2008.

When both Ajazia and Abkhazia opted out of Georgia rule, there only remained a narrow corridor of land leading to the port of Poti for all of these Chessboard schemes and plans and pipelines...and visions of trillions of dollars worth of oil and natural gas.

One fact that is not being mentioned much is South Ossetia is a *relay* point for supplying Russian natural gas and oil to Armenia to the south of Georgia. The US has tried for years to get a Saakashvili-style hand puppet in place in Yerevan but the Armenians are not falling for it. The Armenians remember all too well that 1.2 to 1.5 million of them were slaughtered by the Crypto-Jews of Turkey on orders of the Rockefeller and Rothschild thugs.

If you remember, just this year, the Democrat-controlled Congress passed a resolution to recognize the Armenian Holocaust. The Zionist controllers stepped in and informed the eunuch in Congress they would do no such thing because that might (cerrectly) point the finger of blame at the Zionists, the Rockefeller and Rothschild thugs.

With the knowledge that gas from Russia comes through South Ossetia to supply Armenia, consider also that this South Ossetia Caper was a US attempt to grab Armenia by the throat...but the Bear said 'NYET.'

Then these lunatic, two-brain cell planners got hit another way.

The entire Caspian Basin area decided that there will be NO PIPELINES across the Caspian Sea. Look at the map again. Baku is on the Caspian Sea. No one there wanted 'Fish with Quaker State' on their local menus. If you look real close at the map above, the BLACK PIPELINE is their proposed Trans-Caspian Sea pipeline ...but it is NOT going to happen. That twin-pipeline deal is dead. It was to run to POTI and was to have carried huge amounts of oil and natural gas that they now do not have to put through a pipeline...even if they had the pipeline completed.

Then they got slammed even harder.

Just across the Caspian Sea from Baku, Azerbaijan is Turkmenistan.

Those are the folks who signed the oil and gas leases with the Bridas Corporation in 1992 and 1993, and then signed up Turkmenistan, Pakistan and Afghanistan, in that order, to build the much larger capacity Trans-Afghanistan Pipeline.

Well, the US has a problem with Turkmenistan. First, the US and UK are no closer today to subduing Afghanistan and they recently lost Pakistan as a Global War on Terror partner when Pervez Musharraf had to resign. Even Turkmenistan is against running a pipeline across the Caspian Sea and having their menus change to Fish with Quaker State. (See the Black Pipeline from Baku to Poti on the above map).

The Trans-Afghanistan Pipeline, or TAP, originates in Turkmenistan and there is nowhere to go with that pipeline except due south across Iran. To make matters worse,Turkmenistan has recently signed major natural gas deals with Russia and China. So, what these US Pipeline Dreamers thought they were going to get control of sort of went up like a puff of smoke from a bong. They are also not mentioning the IPI Pipeline (Iran-Pakistan-India). My sources indicate that Turkmenistan natural gas will also be transported in the new IPI pipeline.

The Zbig Chessboard scheme would have required multiple pipelines...but, at this time, they may not have enough oil or rights of way in other areas to justify even one pipeline across Georgia. Said another way, all of their 'geostrategic imperatives' have less reason to exist as each day passes out on the real world.

Would such realities cause a sane person to change their plan?
Yeah, absolutely, but we have complete idiots in charge and not a sane person in sight.

The other brutal reality is that now most of the Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan natural gas is headed to China and Russia...since the US can't seem to get anything done.

There are only three options. First, the US and Zionist West have to get used to the fact that Russia is parked uncomfortably close to their precious pipeline route and the Bear is not going to move. So, either work WITH Russia, build the pipeline, or get the hell out of Georgia. The Second option would see the US cutting a deal with Iran and head the pipeline due south. The Third option will see a huge regional was and Georgia will cease to exist, negating the possibility of ANY pipelines across Georgia controlled by the Zionist West.

I opt for Door Number One or Door Number Two but I bet the Diaper Meister will go for Door Number Three. He is the Great Decider you know, always decisive...and always wrong.

The Black Sea is only accessible via the straits at Istanbul and Russia can close that off in minutes. NATO member Turkey is already feeling the heat because any US-NATO attempt to attack through the Black Sea will put Turkey smack dab in the biggest naval battle since World War II. Turkey has been mauled by the Russian Bear for centuries (every time Turkey tried to force Europe to be Muslim) and they know that Russia will block the Bosporus Strait at Istanbul even if it takes a nuke to do so.

The people in Turkey know that a stupid move by DC could put them smack in the middle of a huge war and they are not looking forward to that.

Also, one of the things BushCo and its gangster partners are not mentioning is that due to the narrowness of the Bosporus Strait (and water depth) there is a severe limitation on the size of tankers that can be used to get oil from Poti to the Mediterranean. The new Supertanker sizes of 1 million to 2 million barrels of oil cannot go to Poti and load up! They can go in empty but they cannot get out loaded. The oil will have to be brought to those larger supertankers and transferred in the Mediterranean.

That is why the TAP pipeline through Afghanistan and Pakistan is so important because what these dreamers and schemers thought they had 100% control of was about 10 supertankers 'PER DAY' for 30 years. There is/was that much oil and natural gas...but most of it is now being sold to others since GW cannot get anything done with anybody. The little rat bastard should be known as the 'destroyer' because he can't decide anything right.

Russia has not shut off the pipelines or the flow of oil which is could have easily done. The Russian imperative is that Georgia is NOT going to be re-armed, enabling it to start this crap over again. If that happens, Russia will crush, spay and neuter Georgia, and this matter will be history.

My suggestion to Bush would be 'get used to it' but you know how that pea-brained idiot never listens to anyone. What we have here is a failure to get things done and Bush is trying to push one of his dirty diapers through the eye of the needle...and Russia is not going to budge.

He can have his one pipeline through Poti, but the Bear is not leaving. Georgia will not be allowed to re-arm and kill more Russian citizens.

Tune in tomorrow on CNN or other major channels. The Diaper Dude and Arf-Arf will have their heads doing 360s all about 'evil' Russia holding the Port of Poti. They will lay down an incredible (c)RAP tomorrow and all through the week and lie, lie and lie some more.

Russia targets Israel

END OF YISRAEL...

“When the end finally comes for Israel, it will all be over in microseconds. Flying faster than rifle bullets, the Sunburns will approach Tel Aviv and Haifa at twice the speed of sound, detonating in blinding white200 Kiloton flashes designed to instantly transform animal vegetable and mineral into heat and light.”

Russia sends aircraft carrier to Syria
2008-08-20

Photo: mil.ru The Russian aircraft carrier “Admiral Kuznetsov” is ready to head from Murmansk towards the Mediterranean and the Syrian port of Tartus. The mission comes after Syrian President Bashar Assad said he is open for a Russian base in the area.

The “Admiral Kuznetsov”, part of the Northern Fleet and Russia’s only aircraft carrier, will head a Navy mission to the area. The mission will also include the missile cruiser “Moskva” and several submarines, Newsru.com reports.President Assad in meetings in Moscow this week expressed support to Russia’s intervention in South Ossetia and Georgia. He also expressed interest in the establishment of Russian missile air defence facilities on his land. The “Admiral Kuznetsov” also last year headed a navy mission to the Mediterranean. Then, on the way from the Kola Peninsula and south, it stopped in the North Sea where it conducted a navy training exercise in the immediate vicinity of Norwegian offshore installations.

Israeli Dual Citizenship - Loyal To Whom?

by Dan Eden

Someone wrote and asked me, "Why are there Israeli- but not Mexican-American Dual Nationals?"

Well, here's my take on this. I'd also like your views and opinions.

Unless we are Native American Indians, all Americans have their origins in some other country. Both of my parents were from England. They were proud to be "British" but they were most proud of achieving their American citizenship. Sure, we had pictures of the Queen and nick-nacks with the Union Jack on them. My mother even celebrated the traditional 4 o'clock tea time and was good at making Yorkshire Pudding. In the late 60's my older brother served in the US Army and did his tour in Viet Nam. When it came down to "allegiance," we were all patriotic Americans. Period.

The word "allegiance" means that we promise loyalty. It also carries with it the expectation that this loyalty will be exclusive and unrestrained. In the case of a declared war or real threat or conflict, for example, our allegiance to America should preclude any other interest, be it another country or political ideology.

When they took their oath to become American citizens, my parents had to pledge their "allegiance" exclusively to America and renounce their allegiance to "any and all foreign governments." That included Great Britain, one of our strongest allies.

Before Viewzone asked me to research the meaning of "dual citizenship," I had never heard of the term. How could someone be a citizen of two countries at the same time? But I was just ignorant. Dual nationalities and citizenships are quite common.

From my internet research, I learned that in 1997, a French Canadian with a U.S. passport ran for mayor of Plattsburgh, N.Y. He argued that the incumbent spoke French too poorly to be running a city so close to Quebec. He lost. Also in 1997, a retired top American official for the U.S. EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) ran for president of Lithuania. He was inaugurated in February to a burst of fireworks!

In 1996, Dominicans from New York not only could vote in the Dominican Republic's presidential elections for the first time, they could vote for a fellow New Yorker. Multiple nationalities have become so commonplace that some analysts fear the trend is undermining the notion of nationhood, particularly in the place with the most diverse citizenry on Earth: the United States.

Debate over the issue intensified in the late 1990s, when Mexico joined the growing list of poor nations that say it's OK for their nationals to be citizens of the countries to which they have migrated. Under the law that took effect in 1998 Mexicans abroad -- most of them in the United States -- will be able to retain Mexican citizenship even if they seek U.S. citizenship. And naturalized Americans of Mexican descent will be able to reclaim their original citizenship. The Mexican government stopped short, for now, of giving expatriates the right to vote.

Security Issues

Since citizenship carries with it a responsibility to be exclusively loyal to one country, the whole concept of dual citizenship and nationality raises questions about which of the dual citizenships have priority. This is extremely important when the two countries have opposing interests. It can be a deadly problem when a dual citizen is in a high position within our American government.

Can one imagine a Japanese citizen serving in the Pentagon during WWII? Or how about a citizen of the Soviet Union holding a cabinet position in the White House during the Cold War?

Today's conflicts are centered in the Middle East. America needs to balance foreign policies towards oil producing Arab nations with our goal being peace and stability in the region. This places a burdon on our government to be even-handed in our dealings with the Arab world and Israel. While the Iraq War was waged on lies about Weapons of Mass Destruction and revenge for 911, the real reason has emerged as a well designed global plan to improve the power and leverage of Israel. Added to this policy is yet another potential blow to American interests and security -- the impending War with Iran. This war will be waged for the security of Israel and will be paid for by the blood of American soldiers and the hard-earned money of American citizens whose quality of life is inversely tied to the cost of petrolium.

Recently, in their much lauded paper, The Israel Lobby and U.S. Foreign Policy, Harvard professor, Stephen Walt, and University of Chicago professor, John Mearsheimer, focused attention on the strong Israeli lobby which has a powerful influence over American foreign policies (see BBC article). They detail the influence that this lobby has exerted, forming a series of international policies which can be viewed as in direct opposition to the interests and security of the American people. These acts and policies are more often than not carried out by US government appointees who hold powerful positions and who are dual American-Israeli citizens. Since the policies they support are often exclusively beneficial to Israel, often to the detriment of America, it has been argued that their loyalties are misdirected.

A few classic examples can be cited here.

Jonathan Jay Pollard was an American-Israeli citizen who worked for the US government. He is well known because he stole more secrets from the U.S. than has any other spy in American history. During his interrogation Pollard said he felt compelled to put the "interests of my state" ahead of his own. Although as a U.S. Navy counter-intelligence specialist he had a top-secret security clearance, by "my state" he meant the state of Israel.

Literally tens of thousands of Americans holding U.S. passports admit they feel a primary allegiance to the state of Israel. In many instances, these Americans vote in Israeli elections, wear Israeli uniforms and fight in Israeli wars. Many are actively engaged both in the confiscation of Palestinian lands and in the Israeli political system. Three examples come to mind:

One is Rabbi Meir Kahane, who founded the militant Jewish Defense League in the U.S. in the 1960s, then emigrated to Israel where, eventually, he was elected to the Knesset. Until he was shot and killed at one of his U.S. fund-raising rallies in 1990, the Brooklyn-born rabbi shuttled between Tel Aviv and New York, where he recruited militant American Jews for his activities in Israel against Palestinians. He claimed to be a "dual citizen" of America and Israel.

Another Jewish American, James Mahon from Alexandria, Virginia, reportedly was on a secret mission to kill PLO Chairman Yasser Arafat when he was shot in 1980 by an unknown assailant. When he was shot, Mahon held an American M-16 in his hand and a U.S. passport in his pocket.

Then there was Alan Harry Goodman, an American Jew who left his home in Baltimore, Maryland, flew to Israel and served in the Israeli army. Then, on April 11, 1982, armed with an Uzi submachine gun, he walked, alone, to Al-Aqsa, Jerusalem's most holy Islamic shrine, where he opened fire, killing two Palestinians and wounding others. Both the U.S. and Israeli governments played down the incident, as did the media.

Most recently, US Navy Petty Officer, Ariel J. Weinmann, while serving at or near Bahrain, Mexico, and Austria, "with intent or reason to believe it would be used to the injury of the United States or to the advantage of a foreign nation (Israel), [attempted] to communicate, deliver or transmit classified CONFIDENTIAL and SECRET information relating to the national defense, to a representative, officer, agent or employee of a foreign government." Weinmann was apprehended on March 26 after being listed as "a deserter by his command," according to the US Navy. The information he gathered was supplied to Israel.

BREAKING NEWS -- April 22, 2008, Ben-Ami Kadish, a Connecticut-born U.S. dual citizen who worked in New Jersey was arrested and charged with giving top secret nuclear information and details about the US Patriot Missile to an Israeli agent -- the same agent involved with the Jay Pollard case. The espionage charges reportedly stem from acts committed in the 1980s. These activities, like the ones with convicted spy Pollard, were immediately denied by Israel (Pollard pleaded guilty in 1986). It is further reported that Israeli officials instructed Kadish to lie to US investigators. Kadish is scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday afternoon [April 22, 2008] at U.S. District Court in Manhattan, authorities said. More details coming soon.

The examples of Kahane, Mahonm, Goodman and Weinmann raise the question of when a U.S. citizen ceases to be, or should cease to be, a U.S. citizen. U.S. Law at one time clearly stated that an American citizen owed first allegiance to the United States. A U.S. citizen should not fight in a foreign army or hold high office in a foreign country without risking expatriation. What the heck happened?

The 1940 Nationality Act

Section 401 (e) of the 1940 Nationality Act provides that a U.S. citizen, whether by birth or naturalization, "shall lose his [U.S.] nationality by...voting in a political election in a foreign state."

This law was tested many times. In 1958, for instance, an American citizen named Perez voted in a Mexican election. The case went to the Supreme Court, where the majority opinion held that Perez must lose his American nationality. The court said Congress could provide for expatriation as a reasonable way of preventing embarrassment to the United States in its foreign relations.

But then something very odd happened.

In 1967 an American Jew, Beys Afroyim received an exemption that set a precedent exclusively for American Jews. Afroyim, born in Poland in 1895, emigrated to America in 1912, and became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1926. In 1950, aged 55, he emigrated to Israel and became an Israeli citizen. In 1951 Afroyim voted in an Israeli Knesset election and in five political elections that followed. So, by all standards he lost his American citizenship -- right? Wrong.

After living in Israel for a decade, Afroyim wished to return to New York. In 1960, he asked the U.S. Consulate in Haifa for an American passport. The Department of State refused the application, invoking section 401 (e) of the Nationality Act -- the same ruling that had stripped the American citizen named Perez of his U.S. citizenship.

Attorneys acting for Afroyim took his case to a Washington, DC District Court, which upheld the law. Then his attorneys appealed to the Court of Appeals. This court also upheld the law. The attorneys for Afroyim then moved the case on to the Supreme Court. Here, with Supreme Court Justice Abe Fortas, Lyndon Johnson's former attorney and one of the most powerful Jewish Americans, casting the swing vote, the court voted five to four in favor of Afroyim. The court held that the U.S. government had no right to "rob" Afroyim of his American citizenship!

The court, reversing its previous judgment as regards the Mexican American, ruled that Afroyim had not shown "intent" to lose citizenship by voting in Israeli elections. Huh?

While Washington claims it has a "good neighbor" policy with Mexico, the U.S. does not permit Mexicans to hold dual nationality. The US makes them become either U.S. or Mexican -- you can't be both. But the U.S., in its special relationship with Israel, has become very sympathetic to allowing Israeli-Americans to retain two nationalities and allowing U.S. citizens not only to hold public office in Israel, but to hold US government positions as well! No other country holds this special exception to our laws of citizenship.

So, you might ask, are there any other dual Israel-American citizens who hold US government positions that could compromise American security? Yes. Consider the following list that I obtained on the web:

Michael Mukasey
Recently appointed as US Attorney General. Mukasey also was the judge in the litigation between developer Larry Silverstein and several insurance companies arising from the destruction of the World Trade Center on 9/11/2001.

Michael Chertoff
Former Assistant Attorney General for the Criminal Division, at the Justice Department; now head of Homeland Security.

Richard Perle
One of Bush's foreign policy advisors, he is the chairman of the Pentagon's Defense Policy Board. A very likely Israeli government agent, Perle was expelled from Senator Henry Jackson's office in the 1970's after the National Security Agency (NSA) caught him passing Highly-Classified (National Security) documents to the Israeli Embassy. He later worked for the Israeli weapons firm, Soltam. Perle came from one the above mentioned pro-Israel thinktanks, the AEI. Perle is one of the leading pro-Israeli fanatics leading this Iraq war mongering within the administration and now in the media.

Paul Wolfowitz
Former Deputy Defense Secretary, and member of Perle's Defense Policy Board, in the Pentagon. Wolfowitz is a close associate of Perle, and reportedly has close ties to the Israeli military. His sister lives in Israel. Wolfowitz came from the above mentioned Jewish thinktank, JINSA. Wolfowitz was the number two leader within the administration behind this Iraq war mongering. He later was appointed head of the World Bank but resigned under pressure from World Bank members over a scandal involving his misuse of power.

Lawrence (Larry) Franklin
The former Defense Intelligence Agency analyst with expertise in Iranian policy issues who worked in the office of Undersecretary of Defense for Policy Douglas Feith and reported directly to Feith's deputy, William Luti, was sentenced January 20, 2006, "to more than 12 years in prison for giving classified information to an Israeli diplomat" and members of the pro-Israel lobbying group American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC).
Franklin will "remain free while the government continues with the wider case" and his "prison time could be sharply reduced in return for his help in prosecuting" former AIPAC members Steven J. Rosen and Keith Weissman, [who] are scheduled to go on trial in April [2006]. Franklin admitted that he met periodically with Rosen and Weissman between 2002 and 2004 and discussed classified information, including information about potential attacks on U.S. troops in Iraq. Rosen and Weissman would later share what they learned with reporters and Israeli officials." (source: sourcewatch.com).

Douglas Feith
Under Secretary of Defense and Policy Advisor at the Pentagon. He is a close associate of Perle and served as his Special Counsel. Like Perle and the others, Feith is a pro-Israel extremist, who has advocated anti-Arab policies in the past. He is closely associated with the extremist group, the Zionist Organization of America, which even attacks Jews that don't agree with its extremist views. Feith frequently speaks at ZOA conferences. Feith runs a small law firm, Feith and Zell, which only has one International office, in Israel. The majority of their legal work is representing Israeli interests. His firm's own website stated, prior to his appointment, that Feith "represents Israeli Armaments Manufacturer." Feith basically represents the Israeli War Machine. Feith also came from the Jewish thinktank JINSA. Feith, like Perle and Wolfowitz, are campaigning hard for this Israeli proxy war against Iraq.

Feith was investigated by the FBI under suspicion of leaking classified information to Israel, being that he was Larry Franklin's boss when Franklin leaked those documents to Rosen and Weissman of AIPAC. For that he was forced to leave the National Security Council. Feith was also investigated by the Senate Intelligence Committee for sexing up 'intelligence' that was used to justify invading Iraq.

Edward Luttwak
Member of the National Security Study Group of the Department of Defence at the Pentagon. Luttwak is reportedly an Israeli citizen and has taught in Israel. He frequently writes for Israeli and pro-Israeli newspapers and journals. Luttwak is an Israeli extremist whose main theme in many of his articles is the necessity of the U.S. waging war against Iraq and Iran.

Henry Kissinger
One of many Pentagon Advisors, Kissinger sits on the Pentagon's Defense Policy Board under Perle. For detailed information about Kissinger's evil past, read Seymour Hersch's book (Price of Power: Kissinger in the Nixon White House). Kissinger likely had a part in the Watergate crimes, Southeast Asia mass murders (Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos), Installing Chilean mass murdering dictator Pinochet, Operation Condor's mass killings in South America, and more recently served as Serbia's Ex-Dictator Slobodan Milosevic's Advisor. He consistently advocated going to war against Iraq. Kissinger is the Ariel Sharon of the U.S. Unfortunately, President Bush nominated Kissinger as chairman of the September 11 investigating commission. It's like picking a bank robber to investigate a fraud scandal. He later declined this job under enormous protests.

Dov Zakheim
Dov Zakheim is an ordained rabbi and reportedly holds Israeli citizenship. Zakheim attended Jew's College in London and became an ordained Orthodox Jewish Rabbi in 1973. He was adjunct professor at New York's Jewish Yeshiva University. Zakheim is close to the Israeli lobby.

Dov Zakheim is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and in 2000 a co-author of the Project for the New American Century's position paper, Rebuilding America's Defenses, advocating the necessity for a Pearl-Harbor-like incident to mobilize the country into war with its enemies, mostly Middle Eastern Muslim nations.

He was appointed by Bush as Pentagon Comptroller from May 4, 2001 to March 10, 2004. At that time he was unable to explain the disappearance of $1 trillion dollars. Actually, nearly three years earlier, Donald Rumsfeld announced on September 10, 2001 that an audit discovered $2.3 trillion was also missing from the Pentagon books. That story, as mentioned, was buried under 9-11's rubble. The two sums disappeared on Zakheim's watch. We can only guess where that cash went.

Despite these suspicions, on May 6, 2004, Zakheim took a lucrative position at Booz Allen Hamilton, one of the most prestigious strategy consulting firms in the world. One of its clients then was Blessed Relief, a charity said to be a front for Osama bin Laden. Booz, Allen & Hamilton then also worked closely with DARPA, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, which is the research arm of the Department of Defense.

Judicial Inc's bio of Dov tells us Zakheim is a dual Israeli/American citizen and has been tracking the halls of US government for 25 years, casting defense policy and influence on Presidents Reagan, Clinton, Bush Sr. and Bush Jr. Judicial Inc points out that most of Israel's armaments were gotten thanks to him. Squads of US F-16 and F-15 were classified military surplus and sold to Israel at a fraction of their value.

Kenneth Adelman
One of many Pentagon Advisors, Adelman also sits on the Pentagon's Defense Policy Board under Perle, and is another extremist pro-Israel advisor, who supported going to war against Iraq. Adelman frequently is a guest on Fox News, and often expresses extremist and often ridiculus anti-Arab and anti-Muslim views. Through his racism or ignorance, he actually called Arabs "anti-Semitic" on Fox News (11/28/2001), when he could have looked it up in the dictionary to find out that Arabs by definition are Semites.
I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby
Vice President Dick Cheney's ex-Chief of Staff. As chief pro-Israel Jewish advisor to Cheney, it helps explains why Cheney is so gun-ho to invade Iran. Libby is longtime associate of Wolfowitz. Libby was also a lawyer for convicted felon and Israeli spy Marc Rich, whom Clinton pardoned, in his last days as president. Libby was recently found guilty of lying to Federal investigators in the Valerie Plame affair, in which Plame, a covert CIA agent, was exposed for political revenge by the Bush administration following her husband's revelations about the lies leading to the Iraq War.

Robert Satloff
U.S. National Security Council Advisor, Satloff was the executive director of the Israeli lobby's "think tank," Washington Institute for Near East Policy. Many of the Israeli lobby's "experts" come from this front group, like Martin Indyk.

Elliott Abrams
National Security Council Advisor. He previously worked at Washington-based "Think Tank" Ethics and Public Policy Center. During the Reagan Adminstration, Abrams was the Assistant Secretary of State, handling, for the most part, Latin American affairs. He played an important role in the Iran-Contra Scandal, which involved illegally selling U.S. weapons to Iran to fight Iraq, and illegally funding the contra rebels fighting to overthrow Nicaragua's Sandinista government. He also actively deceived three congressional committees about his involvement and thereby faced felony charges based on his testimony. Abrams pled guilty in 1991 to two misdemeanors and was sentenced to a year's probation and 100 hours of community service. A year later, former President Bush (Senior) granted Abrams a full pardon. He was one of the more hawkish pro-Israel Jews in the Reagan Administration's State Department.

Marc Grossman
Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs. He was Director General of the Foreign Service and Director of Human Resources at the Department of State. Grossman is one of many of the pro-Israel Jewish officials from the Clinton Administration that Bush has promoted to higher posts.

Richard Haass
Director of Policy Planning at the State Department and Ambassador at large. He is also Director of National Security Programs and Senior Fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR). He was one of the more hawkish pro-Israel Jews in the first Bush (Sr) Administration who sat on the National Security Council, and who consistently advocated going to war against Iraq. Haass is also a member of the Defense Department's National Security Study Group, at the Pentagon.

Robert Zoellick
U.S. Trade Representative, a cabinet-level position. He is also one of the more hawkish pro-Israel Jews in the Bush (Jr) Administration who advocated invading Iraq and occupying a portion of the country in order to set up a Vichy-style puppet government. He consistently advocates going to war against Iran.

Ari Fleischer
Ex- White House Spokesman for the Bush (Jr) Administration. Prominent in the Jewish community, some reports state that he holds Israeli citizenship. Fleischer is closely connected to the extremist Jewish group called the Chabad Lubavitch Hasidics, who follow the Qabala, and hold very extremist and insulting views of non-Jews. Fleischer was the co-president of Chabad's Capitol Jewish Forum. He received the Young Leadership Award from the American Friends of Lubavitch in October, 2001.

James Schlesinger
One of many Pentagon Advisors, Schlesinger also sits on the Pentagon's Defense Policy Board under Perle and is another extremist pro-Israel advisor, who supported going to war against Iraq. Schlesinger is also a commissioner of the Defense Department's National Security Study Group, at the Pentagon.

David Frum
White House speechwriter behind the "Axis of Evil" label. He lumped together all the lies and accusations against Iraq for Bush to justify the war.

Joshua Bolten
White House Deputy Chief of Staff, Bolten was previously a banker, former legislative aide, and prominent in the Jewish community.

John Bolton
Former UN Representative and Under-Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security. Bolton is also a Senior Advisor to President Bush. Prior to this position, Bolton was Senior Vice President of the above mentioned pro-Israel thinktank, AEI. He recently (October 2002) accused Syria of having a nuclear program, so that they can attack Syria after Iraq. He must have forgotten that Israel has 400 nuclear warheads, some of which are thermonuclear weapons (according to a recent U.S. Air Force report).

David Wurmser
Special Assistant to John Bolton (above), the under-secretary for arms control and international security. Wurmser also worked at the AEI with Perle and Bolton. His wife, Meyrav Wurmser, along with Colonel Yigal Carmon, formerly of Israeli military intelligence, co-founded the Middle East Media Research Institute (Memri),a Washington-based Israeli outfit which distributes articles translated from Arabic newspapers portraying Arabs in a bad light.

Eliot Cohen
Member of the Pentagon's Defense Policy Board under Perle and is another extremist pro-Israel advisor. Like Adelman, he often expresses extremist and often ridiculus anti-Arab and anti-Muslim views. More recently, he wrote an opinion article in the Wall Street Journal openly admitting his rascist hatred of Islam claiming that Islam should be the enemy, not terrorism.

Mel Sembler
President of the Export-Import Bank of the United States. A Prominent Jewish Republican and Former National Finance Chairman of the Republican National Committee. The Export-Import Bank facilitates trade relationships between U.S. businesses and foreign countries, specifically those with financial problems.

Steve Goldsmith
Senior Advisor to the President, and Bush's Jewish domestic policy advisor. He also served as liaison in the White House Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives (White House OFBCI) within the Executive Office of the President. He was the former mayor of Indianapolis. He is also friends with Israeli Jerusalem Mayor Ehud Olmert and often visits Israel to coach mayors on privatization initiatives.

Adam Goldman
White House's Special Liaison to the Jewish Community.

Joseph Gildenhorn
Bush Campaign's Special Liaison to the Jewish Community. He was the DC finance chairman for the Bush campaign, as well as campaign coordinator, and former ambassador to Switzerland.

Christopher Gersten
Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary, Administration for Children and Families at HHS. Gersten was the former Executive Director of the Republican Jewish Coalition, Husband of Labor Secretary.

Mark Weinberger
Assistant Secretary of Housing and Urban Development for Public Affairs.

Samuel Bodman
Deputy Secretary of Commerce. He was the Chairman and CEO of Cabot Corporation in Boston, Massachusetts.

Bonnie Cohen
Under Secretary of State for Management.

Ruth Davis
Director of Foreign Service Institute, who reports to the Office of Under Secretary for Management. This Office is responsible for training all Department of State staff (including ambassadors).

Daniel Kurtzer
Ambassador to Israel.

Cliff Sobel
Ambassador to the Netherlands.

Stuart Bernstein
Ambassador to Denmark.

Nancy Brinker
Ambassador to Hungary

Frank Lavin
Ambassador to Singapore.

Ron Weiser
Ambassador to Slovakia.

Mel Sembler
Ambassador to Italy.

Martin Silverstein
Ambassador to Uruguay.

Lincoln Bloomfield
Assistant Secretary of State for Political Military Affairs.

Jay Lefkowitz
Deputy Assistant to the President and Director of the Domestic Policy Council.

Ken Melman
White House Political Director.

Brad Blakeman
White House Director of Scheduling.

I don't know about you, but dual citizenship is fine with me for an ordinary citizen. But if you hold an official position that demands that you put American interests above all else -- if you should look transparent and fair to the rest of the world regarding your formation of Middle East foreign policies, then this is a dangerous trend. Even if there were no pro-Israeli agenda, the fact that decision makers have a bias or an allegiance to one of the parties involved in the current conflict should have raised red flags long before now.

If you think we're being unfair here, ask yourself: How you would react to the Head of Homeland Security if he or she were a dual national with citizenship in Iran, Lebanon or Saudi Arabia? Ask yourself why you don't feel the same about Israeli dual citizenship. Then you will understand how powerful the Israeli lobby has been in "adjusting" your acceptance of their special status.

Hey, I could be way off on this. Let's hear from you.

UPDATE: December 4, 2007

Newsweek's Michael Isikoff reports that Iraq war architect Paul Wolfowitz has been rewarded with a new position in the Bush administration which will allow him to oversee classified intelligence and inform policies on WMD issues.

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has offered Wolfowitz, a prime architect of the Iraq War, a position as chairman of the International Security Advisory Board, a prestigious State Department panel, according to two department sources who declined to be identified discussing personnel matters. The 18-member panel, which has access to highly classified intelligence, advises Rice on disarmament, nuclear proliferation, WMD issues and other matters. "We think he is well suited and will do an excellent job," said one senior official.
